The Family Law Department handles divorce and many parentage, custody, parenting-time, and related domestic matters. Child support enforcement or payment questions may also involve the Court Trustee or another agency.
Family cases can affect property, finances, safety, and long-term parenting rights. Forms are not a substitute for advice about the consequences of an agreement or filing.

Start with the official DC18 forms and Kansas Judicial Branch self-help materials. The local Family Law Self Help Center provides procedural assistance but cannot represent you or give legal advice. DC18 currently publishes conflicting hours for the center, so call before visiting.

Bring or collect the documents that let staff or counsel understand the procedural posture.
