Who and what this policy covers
Sedgwick County Court Guide is an independent informational website. It is not a court, law-enforcement agency, law firm, or government website. This policy covers activity on SedgwickCountyCourt.com. Government and other third-party websites linked from this guide have their own privacy practices.
Information processed to deliver and secure the site
Hosting, network, and security providers may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. This information is used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website. Those providers control their own operational and security retention periods.
Guide search and checklist
Text entered in “Search this guide” filters the list already loaded in your browser. It is not placed in the page URL, submitted to our server, or sent to Google Analytics. Checklist choices are also kept only in the current browser session. Do not enter names, case numbers, birth dates, warrant details, or other private information in the guide search.
Optional Google Analytics
Current status: Google Analytics is not active on this deployment.
The site is built for basic consent mode: it does not request Google's analytics script or send cookieless Analytics pings before an affirmative choice. If you allow Analytics, the site sends only a page path without its query string, the page title, and general device and usage information. Google may infer an approximate location from the network connection and may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<property-id>.
We do not send guide-search text, form contents, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, case numbers, inmate or warrant queries, charges, birth dates, or precise location to Analytics. Analytics is never loaded on the inmate-search or warrant-search pages. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals remain disabled. The intended GA4 user- and event-level retention setting is two months; aggregate reports may remain available longer.
Before activation, the Analytics property must also have Enhanced Measurement for site search, form interactions, and outbound clicks turned off so its account settings match these stated practices.
Your choice is stored in your browser for up to six months. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a decline. Declining does not limit the guide. If Analytics is activated, use “Privacy choices” in the footer to withdraw or change your decision. Learn how Google handles data on sites that use Google services.
Forms and direct submissions
This site currently has no contact, lead, account, or case-submission form. The guide-search field is not a contact form and does not transmit what you type. Before any submission form is added, this policy and the notice beside that form must identify the exact fields, purpose, recipient, service providers, retention period, and deletion method. A future form must also warn users not to submit Social Security numbers, birth dates, driver's-license numbers, financial or medical information, passwords, case documents, or inmate or warrant details.
Sharing, sales, and sponsors
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. No guide search, inmate-search activity, warrant-search activity, or form data is sent to Air Capital Bail Bonds or any other sponsor. The bond-and-release guide contains a clearly labeled outbound advertisement for Air Capital Bail Bonds. Choosing that link takes you to a separately operated website governed by that company's own privacy policy.
Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information handled, but no internet service can guarantee complete security. This general-audience guide is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. We will revise the effective date when data practices change and will update this policy before activating a form or materially different tracking.
Questions or requests
The current guide does not maintain user accounts or accept direct submissions. A direct privacy contact will be published here before a contact form or optional Analytics is activated. Requests concerning an official court, Sheriff, or government system must be directed to the agency operating that system.
